We have a lot of news this week for you so lets get right to it with out delay.
NEW DVD / CD
We have a new DVD / CD entitled “Kill the House Lights”- Live and Unreleased coming out on October 30th on Victory Records. It will have some new music, some old music, live music and different versions of old songs as well as interviews, performances from live shows and all kinds of memories from our past.
TOUR
To celebrate its release we are going out on a very short tour in much smaller rooms than we are used to playing. We want to revisit the past with you and just have some fun. Our friends in Circle Takes The Square will be opening the tour and a very special guest will be announced shortly as main support. Pre-sale ticketing began yesterday and sold out in almost every marketing within a couple of hours. You can click here to see if any more are available near you. HOLIDAY SHOW
For our friends on the east coast, we are proud to announce our annual Holiday show at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ with a surprise. This year, we are playing on December 31st more commonly referred to as NEW YEAR’S EVE!!! This year is going to be a big party as we celebrate the close of another great year. Gaslight Anthem will be opening the show with a special guest to be announced shortly as main support.
To celebrate the show’s announcement, we are releasing 100 tickets to the public today at 3 pm. Purchasing 2 or more pre-sale tickets at once gets you into our “Happy Hour.” This will include: VIP entrance, early admission to the show, free pizza, soda and water and a hang with the us. You can purchase pre-sale tickets by clicking this link.
Not into happy hour? There will be 130 tickets made available for purchase today as well. These come with a much lower fee than you will pay with the standard ticketing outlets. All other tickets will go on sale September 21st.
MERCH CONTEST
As the final preparations are going into our the Kill The House Lights DVD / CD and tour, we wanted to get you involved. We would like to announce a design your own merch contest. We are looking for undiscovered and talented artists out there who are interested in creating band merchandise. So we’ve teamed up with absolutepunk.net to host a merch designing contest.
You create a design. Place it on one of the merch templates that you can download here or on your own. The design needs to have either the Thursday logo and or dove or your own version of them. Download the official Thursday logo here. Email us the file at thursdayinvite@gmail.com before Oct. 4, 2007. We will go through all the submissions and pick our 5 favorite designs. Those designs will be posted on thursday.net and absolutepunk.net. Voting then begins. Vote for your favorite design and the winner will actually become a real Thursday merch design.
Final files must be in 300 DPI or higher. Layered photo shop, illustrator, or corel files are best.
Grand Prize Winner: 2 pieces of the merch created as well as their myspace and facebook links on band’s page.
2 runners up: Choice of 1 Thursday t-shirt from merch store
